Succinctly Yours - Dancing Topiary and Aliens

Word of the week: widget

Frustration Mounts
Plain Jane Topiary wished she could be a graceful dancing topiary. Unfortunately the widget genie malfunctioned and left off the leaves.

Fat? Not an Ounce
Roxy's diet was fiber. She ran daily to keep her figure slim. Eventually she turned into a lovely fibrous statue. Last words: More granola!

It's the Thought That Counts
Carl wanted to honor his wife with a bronze sculpture of her dancing. Things were tight financially so he settled on a rattan sculpture.

Anxiety Mounts
The alien was not able to blend in with her surroundings.

Grandma's Goulash is hosting a microfiction meme called "Succinctly Yours," where you can write either a 140-character or 140-word micro-story based on the photo she posts and/or the word of the day, so you have plenty of room to be creative! Join the fun at Grandma's Goulash.

Hi Guys ~~ These are great again, always!!
Pat, your Fiber Girl is my favorite of yours. More yogurt.
Jerry, thank you for showing me she was an alien. Still I am smiling. :)

A rattan sculpture? What home could be complete without one?

I suppose that all the leafy topiaries are admiring Twiggy's trim figure. I think Roxy would make a great cautionary tale for some health nuts. If I'm reading it correctly, she died anyway! Carl's wife will probably understand, unless he starts buying new furnishings for his ma cave.

Right, Jerry. She really sticks out. :D

Great quartet. I always enjoy your takes.
