You know you're obsessive when...

You know you're obsessive when you measure to make sure the dining table is exactly centered below the chandelier.

I used this beautiful carved-stone candle holder, a gift from my lovely daughter-in-law Jolene, to position our dining room table so that it was centered directly below the down-light of the chandelier.
First I measured from the edges of the center leaf of the table to the candle holder and then from the ends of the leaf to the candle holder to make sure it was in the exact center of the table top.

Then I turned on just the down-light of the chandelier to see if there was the same amount of shadow on all sides of the candle holder.
Yes, I'm that obsessive. But at least I'm not as bad as Monk.

I understand you. I don't have a chandelier over the dining table. I have track lights. It annoys me to no end when the table is not centered under the fixture (which is most of the time). But I have so many other things around the condo to deal with that I don't deal with that piece - yet. I hope you're enjoying your weekend.

I can relate, Pat. We had a fairly large table in our breakfast nook and there wasn't room to move the table, so it would be centered under the light. Bothered me so much that I finally had the light moved!
