Word of the week: template
The Best Laid Plans
Bob knew Dr. Oz’s template for weight loss: veggies, lean meats, fruits, nuts and exercise. This year he’d stick to it more than one day.

Of Mice and Men
At this rate of weight gain, Frank saw it would be years before he could join Yuuta’s Sumo team. He went back to the fridge.

Gang Aft
AHH…I have eight months till my high school reunion…I need a plan. Maybe Jenny will help. Bart consoled himself with a chocolate milkshake.

Wow! My clothes weigh thirty pounds!

"The best-laid plans o'mice an' men gang aft a-gley" is the Scots dialect version by the Scottish poet, Robbie Burns. The "modern" version of it is "The best laid plans of mice and men go oft astray." But you knew that already, right?

Wow, this is the first time that I've been the first one to post my link on Grandma's Goulash. I had to stay up past 10 PM, but it was worth it to be first. I'm so shallow.
No Pat, you're very sweet and I just LOVE your sharp wit. Bless you for being you. (((Hugs))) Jo
Great fun as always. My clothes are heavy, too.
I love your short stories!
:) Pat, not shallow at all.. and i know how it feels if you are number one... i get my kids to do a lot at home that way..
loved them all.. and i guess my clothes have become heavier over the past few months
I've been reading your captions now for some time. I think it must keep your brain sharp as you always come up with interesting things. Hope you're having a good start to your week. It's raining a lot here.
The last one struck me as funny funny!
I can only dream of heavy clothes but unfortunately, it's not the clothes. Definitely ALL belly for me. :-)
