Not only do I like the fragrance of lilacs,...
I also like the somewhat cornucopia shape of their clusters of flowers...
...the lush and luxurious bounty of beautiful little blossoms...
...for us to enjoy every spring!“Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s." - Psalm 103:1-5

I ddi not know you had them in Calif I miss them in Fl sandy
These mauve lilacs remind me of my childhood. We had trees in our garden. I have the very same lilac as you in my garden now. It is just starting to go over, due to the heatwave we've been having over here in the UK. Thanks for the memories through your photos.
I love lilacs, gorgeous flowers.
Oh, I love lilacs but I didn't know that they grew so well in California. Another educator. We all must start bloging in retirement. LOL! Take care and thanks for stopping by my blog.
I love lilacs, great shots :)
So beautiful! Your lilac photos are great and I have enjoyed them very much. Thank you for sharing and have a great week.
Woo-hoo! These are some gorgeous lilacs!
Lilacs are usually at their peak here in Canada this week, but with our unusual warm spring, they are already done. I like the fragrance. Lovely pictures.
I love lilacs! They bloom in clusters and sometimes, they have shapes!
Great photos!
Thanks for the b-day greetings Pat.
