Interstate 5 in southern Oregon

Last Friday Jerry and I headed up Interstate 5 from California on our way to the Oregon coast. I could not resist taking pix of the beautiful sky and hills of southern Oregon.

As you can see by the freeway sign, this was just south of Medford in southern Oregon.
We left home at 8 AM and arrived in Newport at 6 PM...pretty good time for having stopped twice for gas. We ate peanuts and oranges in the car on the way, and then had dinner at the best-for-your-money buffet in Newport, Izzy's! It was a long drive, but the beautiful scenery of northern California and Oregon made it tolerable. Plus, for the first time I had internet access on my laptop as we drove along, so I was quite entertained!!

Join the fun at Skywatch Friday!

Gorgeous photos! I just love cloud formations like that against the brillian blue sky! We did that trip, but in the opposite direction a couple years ago!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! The weather in Seattle is supposed to be wonderful for the next 10 days after temps reach the high 80's today it will cool off to the high 70's to low 80's. Perfect Seattle weather!

I wish out interstates were this scenic. But, alas, they are not.

Very scenic with wonderful cloud formations! I kept seeing critters as I looked at the clouds in your photos. Have a nice sojourn in Oregon.

All those beautiful skies on one trip, you are lucky.

I love the way how although there are clouds in these shots, you never seem to be in the shade of one. How do you manage that?!

I love the colors out there -- there are multiple colors (unlike the midwest). Gorgeous photos... and such a nice trip up for you!

And you missed the last post :) I am not missing an appliance -- the question was what appliance would I most hate to give up. Totally different question :) My washer is perfectly fine and I'll use it until it gives up the ghost, probably ten or fifteen years from now. I don't buy things until I HAVE to.
